Plumage

"What little bird of scarlet plummage may this be"?

I honestly have no idea what this means.

  1. Dictionary.com says that plumage means the entire feathery covering of a bird.

  2. I agree with Howe, it deffinetly has to do with a birds feathers. Free Encyclopedia says it deals with the birds pattern, colour, and arrangement of the feathers.
